I went drawing and painting with my friends by the Hudson River in Upstate New York. It was a chilly afternoon, the sun was hidden away by clouds and the wind blew from the river towards inland. We were all shivering from the cold, but were all determined to create from plein-air. I am super happy with this piece because it captured the mood and emotions that I felt at that time.

Even when I was a child, I thought riding airplanes can be fun, but when I found myself taking a flight to Hong Kong and sitting in the middle seating between two people, I started wondering if I should change my opinion. Thankfully, my neighbors were quiet and I found myself doing a sketch of the airplane's interior and a drawing of a sleeping passenger. It was fun doing this drawing because I was able to explore my inner self and I wasn't rushing myself as usual. I also realized that planes are a great place to sketch at, since no one would mind my staring so hard for details.
